Ariostea tiles for Parma airport

Design: Antonella Luberti
Location: Parma, Italy

Architect Antonella Luberti designed Parmaís new airport, attempting to recreate the natural look of stone with its rough, porous surfaces with Cardoso from Ariosteaís High-tech Stones series on the floors.

In Parma airport, architect Antonella Luberti attempted to recreate the atmosphere of a “Loft”, an idea inspired by the need for plenty of room and plenty of light, with high ceilings to house all the installations required in an airport terminal.

Tressano elementary school

Affirming the central role of education by creating a building with a unified design that responds to all the ideas and requirements of the public authorities and the teaching staff.
This is the goal of the new school campus in Tressano (Castellarano, RE) designed by Archilinea of Sassuolo (MO).

The architects wanted to create a school in which children would be aware of their central role in day-to-day educational activities. This is why the focus of the whole project, both vertically and horizontally, is the atrium, the fulcrum of the entire composition and layout of different functions on different floors: the entire school is visible from this central concourse, the focus of all activities and fulcrum of the school which is the whole purpose of the project.
To underline its role at the heart of the structure, the atrium does not have any views of the outdoors, whereas all the classrooms have beautiful views over the hills around the school.

Club Azzurro: a stone cavern for well-being

Concentrating on the choice of soft parameters, the firm D73 (Vismara and Viganò) has re-qualified a sports centre by including a spa area among its services and characterising it with high-tech stone surfaces by Ariostea enhanced by grazing light from spotlights.
Marco Vismara and Andrea Viganò have a perceptive approach to projects for rooms and focus their attention on the way in which people interact with the place in which they “live”, in the more complete sense of the word. They pay special attention to projects having to do with wellness in which the correct perception of the surroundings is essential for creating a condition of wellbeing. They tackled the project for re-qualifying the Club Azzurro in Gazzada Schianno, in the province of Varese, starting out from the image and from the figurative references that the user would like to find when seeking physical and mental wellbeing.
